Alycia Debnam-Carey has starred in TV shows like Fear the Walking Dead. Born in Sydney, she began her acting career when she was only eight. Her first role was in the short movie Martha s New Coat . In an episode of McLeod's Daughter she was able to make her TV debut. Her first important work was as a regular character in the sci-fi TV series The 100 . The show was based on an earlier novel. The actress played Commander Lexa - a strong leader, who governed twelve clans. After her appearance in Fear the Walking Dead (a horror-drama television series), she became even more well-known. Critics have praised the show and numerous nominations and prizes. Jigsaw Girl & The Branch were two short films which she was a part of. She had her first role as a lead in the found-footage disaster production Into the Storm. Though the film was not well received by critics, it did extremely well on the level of commercial results.
